Paul J

Paul is an independent film maker with extensive experience in South America, particularly in Peru where he also worked on his first feature length film.  His experience ranges from cinema and documentary to commercial work. 

Although primarily a director, Paul also works as a self-shooter with experience in various fields such as producing, DOPing, camera operating, editing and colour grading. He can thus cater for a variety of projects and works both on and off the field, from creating the concept to shooting and editing the footage. 

In the past few years Paul has also taught in academies and universities in Peru and the UK. He ran a course on cinematography and camera operating in one of Lima’s most prestigious film schools and has taught Film and TV Production at PQA, an academy for children interested in film and theatre in London. 

Paul studied Film and TV Production at LSBU where he also wrote his dissertation on the authenticity of documentary film making, and the importance of the integrity behind the director creating the film. 

Paul speaks fluent Spanish (and English).
