Based in Nairobi, Kenya, Ed is an experienced journalist and documentary photographer. He has directed and filmed BBC News and commercial documentaries as well as filming for NFPs.

As one of BBC News’ senior journalists he has produced and shot for BBC flagship outlets including BBC World News, Radio 4s Today, BBC News at Ten and the World Service.

He has extensive expertise filming conflict and humanitarian stories around the world as a shooting DOP.

And recently returned from the Masai Mara making a film about pangolins.

Other recent assignments include: BBC, Kino Films, The Guardian, The Telegraph, Concern Worldwide, Vice News, Reuters, Dustoff Films, Street Child, the UK’s FCDO, World Food Programme, UNHCR and the Weather Channel.

He is HEFAT and Public Order trained, has specialised in online video production and has an MA in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography from London College of Communication.
